A couple days ago I shared the leprechaun trap that my daughter and I made for St. Patrick's Day. Unfortunately we didn’t catch a leprechaun but we are still trying. The leprechaun left us a note taunting us because we couldn’t catch him so we decided it was time to take things to the next level.
I started with a plain box from the craft store and added some st Patrick’s day stickers. Then it was time to fill the box with the supplies needed to catch the little guy.
I added a notebook, mini clipboard and some green green pencils to take notes and clues. Of course there were some gold coins and Lucky Charms Cereal because we know leprechauns love to snack on Lucky Charms. If we get hungry while we are searching we can snack on them too.
A flashlight helps us search into some of the dark corners of the house where he might be hiding.
I confess I added in a bar of Irish spring soap only because it has the word "Irish" in it's name.
Gnome Tip: If your kids don’t like to take baths try telling them leprechauns are attracted to fresh and clean kids that smell like Irish Spring.
Well, we searched and searched but came up empty handed on our hunt.
We went to bed fresh and clean, smelling like Irish Spring to hopefully attract a leprechaun overnight.
The craziest thing happened when we woke up. We went into the bathroom and saw that someone had made some green footprints on the toilet and did some business in there.
The little trickster alss used some special green toilet paper and ran amok all over the bathroom.
The leprechaun had been there and he made a mess. He left a note on the mirror: Better Luck Next Year.
Hi I’m Adrienne Carrie Hubbard. I believe a rich life comes not from the things you have, but the things you do; the experiences you create and the people you meet along the way. Thanks for hanging out!
