DIY Fall Table Runner
I love to get into the spirit of the fall season and this autumn is no different.
The air is getting cooler outside and I’m ready to start thinking about hibernating indoors with some hot coco and warm cozy blankets.
The fall is a great time of the year to spend time with your family and partake in fun autumn activities like apple picking, a visit to the pumpkin patch or creating fall crafts indoors when the weather doesn't permit outdoor fun.

This fall our family life has gotten really hectic. My husband works crazy hours and my daughter attends preschool and other extra-cirricular activities. The one thing I can always count on are weekend meals eaten together as a family.
On a recent trip to Fred Meyer I picked up a couple of varieties of Eckrich Smoked Sausage. I love to cook smoked sausage for a quick and easy family dinner. My husband and daughter love them and they are easy to prepare so we have more time to spend together as a family instead of wasting time cooking all night.
Eckrich Smoked Sausage are naturally hardwood smoked for the true smokehouse taste and they come in a ton of flavors and varieties in both the rope and link format. They can provide a fun flair to any dish whether you serve them on their own or as part of a dish. I purchased the following:
Eckrich Original Skinless Smoked Sausage, Eckrich Cheddar Smoked Sausage Links and Eckrich Original Smoked Sausage Links.
For a simple balanced meal that takes no time at all, serve the Original Skinless Smoked Sausage with a side salad and steamed veggies or rice.
Today I am sharing a fun and easy table runner craft. This table runner uses vinyl place mats attached together to create one long table runner. I have been keeping this runner on the table all week and it's held up great. This is a fun rainy day autumn craft you can make with the family.

Supplies:
- 4 Vinyl Place mats
- Hole punch
- String
- Marker
- Ruler
Instructions:
Flip the placemats over and mark every inch or so with a marker. Use a hole punch to make holes and then thread the string through the yarn in a criss cross pattern. Tie the ends of the string together to secure it and place it on the center of the table.
The vinyl is waterproof, washable and durable. You can experiment with different funky patterned place mats and interesting string or ribbon.
