Clay Incense Holder Tutorial- Make it Yourself!

Clay Incense Holder

Last spring I shared a sea urchin incense tutorial with you and  I also shared a polymer clay rose ring tutorial with you. Today I am combining the two to bring you the Polymer Clay Flower Incense Holder tutorial.

Incense is kind of a love-it-or-hate-it  type of thing. Either you love the smell and have it burning constantly or it reminds you of a dirty hippie and makes you nauseous. Personally, I like it but only in small doses until it starts making me feel sick.

Supplies:

This incense holder uses one package of polymer clay so you can make it for the very cheap price of about $2. I Like this Fimo brand clay

buy it now

Directions:

Begin by making a marble sized ball out of the clay. Then, make smaller petal shaped pieces.

Stick the petal pieces to the side of the ball and pinch the top. Work your way around the adding petals until it resembles a flower.

Poke the end of an incense stick into the center of the flower and pull it out.

Cook the flower in an oven safe dish according to the directions on the package. In my case, 275 degrees for 15 minutes.

After it has hardened and cooled, you can place it on a small dish and light up your incense. Once you have learned how to make the flower out of clay, you can try making it with different color combinations and experimenting with different styles of petals.

As always, make sure you never leave a candle or incense burning unattended and keep it away from pets and children.

Do you like incense? Yay or nay? Let me know in the comments and as always if you like this tutorial feel free to share on social media.
