Clothes pin fairy dolls are a fun craft that kids will love to make. They are easily assembled with wooden clothes pegs, fake flowers, washi tape and hot glue. You can decorate your clothes pin fairy in many different ways and your kids will love to decorate and play with these pretty fairy dolls.
Materials for clothes pin fairy
Most of the supplies can be purchased at the dollar store or craft store. This is a great activity for a group of kids to work on at the same time so keep it in mind for your kid's next birthday party or school activity.
- Wooden clothes pin (base piece optional)
- Fake flowers
- Wash tape
- Fine tip permanent marker
- Hot glue

You can purchase the base pieces that the clothes pins fit into but they are not necessary. They do make it easier for the finished fairies to stand up on their own.

Instructions for clothes pin fairies
Cut the stem off of one of the fake flowers. Remove the green plastic piece at the base of the flower holding the petals together.
Cut an "X" into the center of the flower piece to that it can slip onto the clothes pin.
Add several flower petals to make the fairy's skirt and keep adding until the skirt is as full as you would like it.
Wrap washi tape around the clothes pin above the flower petals to make the fairy's top.
Cut two or four leaves and glue them to the clothes pin to give the fairy wings.
Take a piece of the flower petal and glue it to the top of the clothes pin to make the fairy a hat.
Draw on eyes and and mouth.

Instructions
- Remove the flower from the stem
- Cut the center of the petals so that they can slide onto the clothes pin
- Wrap washi tape around clothes pin
- Glue on leaves to make wings
- Glue on flower petals for a hat
- Draw on eyes and mouth
Notes
If you don't want the kids working with hot glue you can use tape or white craft glue.
