Beer Cocktail for Cinco de Mayo

As many of you may know, my husband and I recently visited Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We have both been to Mexico a few times before but this was our first time to this part of the country. As lovers of Mexican food and culture, we always enjoy a trip south of the border.

After we returned from our vacation I wanted to try to bring back some of that carefree Mexican spirit home with me. When you think of Mexican beer the first brands that probably come to your mind are Corona and Modelo.

I picked up a 6 pack of each on a recent shopping trip so we are ready to celebrate the fun big and small moments this summer with family and friends.

Today I am going to show you how to make a fun beer cocktail for Cinco de Mayo featuring Corona Extra.

Corona Extra is an even-keeled cerveza with fruity-honey aromas and a touch of malt. The flavor is crisp, clean and well balanced between hops and malt, a superior taste profile from superior ingredients—the finest-quality blend of filtered water, malted barley, hops, corn and yeast.

I mixed the Corona Extra with peach cider, cranberry juice and fresh lime for a refreshing fruity cocktail. I call this drink the ā€œCorona Sunsetā€
