All you need is 20 gauge craft or jewelry wire, a crystal and some wire cutters and pliers. These napkin rings are a quick craft to make before your next dinner party and make a huge impact on your table setting. Read on for the crystal napkin ring tutorial.

Directions for Crystal Napkin Ring
The diameter of the napkin ring is about three inches. Find a cylinder that is approx 3 inches in diameter (I used a plastic tube) and wrap the wire around it three times. Leave about 2 inches of excess wire and cut it from the spool with wire cutters.
Take the free ends and bend them at a 90 degree angle to the wire circle that you made. Then, twist the free ends of the wire around the wire loop.

This is the base of the napkin ring. Next, you wire wrap the crystal and attach it to the base.
To wrap the crystal, take about 24 inches of wire and place the stone in the center of the wire. Wrap the free ends of the wire around the stone as tightly as you can. Leave at least 5 inches of wire to wrap around the napkin ring base.
To tighten the wire around the stone, take your bent nose pliers and grab a part of the wire and twist it into a zig zag pattern around the stone.
Then, take the stone and hold it against the wire loops. Take the free ends of the wire and wrap them around the base of the napkin ring.
Wrap at least four to five times and trim and excess with wire cutters.

Slip your napkin through the middle and place it on your table setting.
This turquoise stone had a hole drilled in it. I slipped the wire through the hole before wrapping it around the stone.

An even easier way to make a napkin ring is to string multiple crystal beads onto the wire and make a simple loop, like I did with these rose quartz stones above.
