A tomato cage Christmas tree is a great way to DIY a small holiday decoration from your home. Simply head to your local garden center (or backyard shed) and pick up a regular wire tomato cage. Wrap evergreen garland around it and add lights and ornaments to transform it into a Christmas tree. This fun decoration can be used indoors as in place of a traditional Christmas tree; or place it outdoors in your yard or on your front porch.
Tomato Cage Christmas Tree
When it comes to Christmas decorations I tend to like classy, rustic traditional styles. My husband on the other hand likes bright and colorful decorations. He also likes to get the biggest Christmas tree possible. We have a tradition every year of going to the Christmas tree farm and cutting down the largest tree that will fit in our house.

We have 9 foot ceilings so we always get a tree that is 9 feet tall and as wide as possible. Here is a photo of my husband, Rob cutting down our tree this year:
We had to cut part of the top off to get it to fit in the house and it takes up half the living room. Luckily my lab, Luna has only knocked it down once.
So Rob gets to have his huge tree and I get my cute little homemade tomato cage tree. I displayed my tree on the buffet in the dining room. The tomato cage Christmas tree could also be used outdoors as part of your porch or front yard decorations.
