DIY Comic Book Envelopes

I wanted to try making some customized envelopes. These envelopes can be used for anything from party invitations to thank you notes or valentines. The great thing is you can make them in any theme you want. I chose to make mine with pictures from a Wonder Woman book I have. It's called Wonder Woman the Complete History. I've had the book for about 7 or 8 years and although I don't need to read it again I kept it around because there are a lot of really cool high quality photos on nice thick paper that can be re purposed into something new. Like envelopes! To those of you who think taking apart old books and up cycling them is sacrilegious... sorry!

Materials:
  • Paper of your choice. You can use magazine pictures, pics from old books, scrapbook paper, whatever you like. The envelopes work best with thicker paper so they will won't be so flimsy
  • Envelope in the same size that you would like to make
  • Glue. I used brush on crazy glue

 Directions

Tada! Wonder Woman envelope!

You can make any size you like with any picture you like!

Here's a collage pic of the full instructions that you can easily pin to Pinterest if you are so inclined :)

What theme envelopes would you make?

  1. Thanks for sharing this! I was just trying to figure out how to use some tractor/farm equipment ads as wrapping for gift cards. This will be perfect! Thanks again :)
