This week's smoothie is a yummy blend of citrus and banana. The grapefruit adds a tart, sweet taste to a blend of strawberries and banana. This is a great smoothie for those mornings when you want a cool refreshing breakfast and don't have time to cook.

Ingredients
Pink or Ruby Red grapefruit
1banana
1cupfrozen strawberries
½cuporange juice
Instructions
Toss the ingredients into a blender ( I like the Ninja brand ) and blend until smooth.
You may find a whole grapefruit is too sour for your taste buds so add half first and do a taste test to see if it needs more. This grapefruit smoothie tastes best cold so make sure the strawberries are frozen and the OJ is chilled
Recipe Notes
This smoothie is very refreshing, it's great on a hot humid summer morning.
Keep in mind that grapefruit can interfere with certain medications and you may want to talk to your doctor before eating grapefruit on a regular basis.
