Bathroom Makeover: Gross to Glam

oh so frightening!

So, a couple of weeks ago I asked for your help. I decided it was time to redo the master bathroom and I couldn't decide what color to paint it. Thanks for all your suggestions. I decided to go with a nice light mint green. The bathroom isn't completely finished yet but have a look at how things are looking so far.

It doesn't even look like the same room does it? What a big difference fresh paint makes! I can't afford to replace the cabinets, sink or mirror yet but eventually I will switch those up for something new.

I added this little wall cabinet over the toilet for extra storage and stole these two framed prints from my dining room and hung them.

I replaced the old wooden toilet seat I have hated forever and added the wicker laundry basket. The old wood cabinets got a nice coat of white paint.

I got this chandelier from Overstock. I'll be the first to admit, it may be a tad bit too much but I don't care. I have an attraction to shiny things. When it's all light up it is seriously blingin'. My husband was making fun of me when he saw it. He thinks it the most ridiculously ornate bathroom chandelier he has ever seen. I think I may have a bit of an addiction to buying chandeliers. This is the 4th one I have in my home and I keep looking for new ones to hang in other parts of the house!

I put new fixtures over the mirror as well. I still need to add new trim to the top of the mirror. You can see my new shower curtain in the mirror reflection.  It's from Bed Bath and Beyond.

So how do you think it's looking? I don't hate going into this bathroom anymore! I can't wait to have a nice soak it the tub this weekend!
Here's a couple links to my other before and after projects:

Wow! First, I love mint green walls, and second, the chandelier is awesome! I wouldn't have thought to put one in a bathroom, but it gives it a very sophisticated feel. 🙂

Very pretty. Our bathroom was the first thing we fixed when we bought our house. Few things are worse than getting ready in a dreary, dingy bathroom. Nice job!

That looks great and I love the chandelier! I'm so hoping our old house will sell soon so we can start updating this new house which is very 80s-90s. ICK!

Thanks! I still think the chandelier might be a bit too fancy but that just means I will have to make the rest of the room look a little fancier too!

So true. I actually like being in that bathroom now. Before I would avoid it and just use the other one in the house!

It looks amazing! I didn't even notice that it was the same vanity, haha. Adding this to Pinterest. 🙂
