Ketchup Popcorn Recipe for the Big Game

I came up with this fun recipe for ketchup flavored popcorn, a crunchy, tasty alternative to ketchup chips that is easy to make and all your friends (even the non-Canadian ones) will love.

- 1 bag of microwaveable popcorn or  - 2 tablespoons of un-popped popcorn kernels - 3 Tablespoons of French’s Ketchup  - 2 Tablespoons of butter  - 1 Tablespoon of sugar

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Pop the popcorn according to the directions on the package.

While it is popping, mix the ketchup, butter and sugar in a sauce pan on medium and stir until the ingredients have dissolved.

Pour the popped popcorn into an oven-proof pan and drizzle the ketchup mixture over the popcorn.

Stir it to make sure all the popcorn is coated.

Place the pan in the oven and bake the popcorn for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

It's ready to serve once the ketchup seasoning has dried and your popcorn is nice and crispy.
