DIY Envelope Tutorial

Kids love send and receiving letters in the mail so this is a fun project to involve the kids in. You can have them send letters to family or friends and make their own DIY envelopes to mail them in.

- Paper of your choice. I used pages from this book.  - Envelope in the same size that you would like to make.  - Glue stick.  - Scissors.  - Ruler.

1. First find an envelope in the size you want.   2. Then, carefully unfold it and tear it apart.

3. Now you have the pattern for your envelopes.

1. Get a paper that's about twice as large as your desired envelope size.

2. Trace the template onto the homemade envelope paper.  3. Cut out the traced shape.

4. Fold the bottom flap of paper up.  5. Fold the left and right sides inward.

6. Tape or glue together the open left and right sides.

7. Fold down the top to make a flap.  8. Insert the letter or card.

9. Glue or tape the flap to keep your message enclosed.
