Wood Earring Card Tutorial
I’m always on the lookout for new and interesting ways to package and store the jewelry I make. A simple gift can look more classy and expensive if it’s wrapped well. Last year I made wood burned gift tags out of plain wooden tags from the craft store. I had some tags left over so I decided to make them into earring cards using the small hand drill I used to make holes in seashells.
- Wooden tags
- Small hand drill
Mark on the wood tags where you would like to place the holes.
Place the hand drill over the marking and begin to turn it.
The drill bit will make a hole in the wood and you can slip your earring hooks through the hole.
The wood tags I bought came with larger holes at the top. You can use these holes to hang the tags from a jewelry holder, or slip a ribbon and gift tag through it.
You can also decorate the tags with paint, a wood burning tool or washi tape.
What kind of wood earring cards will you make?
