Happy Fri-yay Gnomies!
I hope you all had a fabulous week. I just got back from our family trip to Salmon Arm BC, Canada on Wednesday and I thought I would share some pictures with you guys.
Salmon Arm is one of my favorite Canadian city names. Canada has some good ones: Medicine Hat Alberta, Moose Jaw Saskatchewan and Dildo Newfoundland (I’m not making these up!) are also favorites. Salmon Arm is located in the interior of British Columbia off of Shuswap lake. It took us about 4.5 hours to drive there from northern Washington state. Because my husband had to go back to work after the long weekend we had to take separate vehicles because I wanted to stay longer.
My parents rented a beautiful log cabin for the whole family to stay at for the week. My grandma flew in from Toronto to come visit with us and my sister and her husband joined us from Squamish BC.
The weather was supposed to be stinking hot but instead is was rainy and kind of dreary. This was okay with me because it meant I could relax, take lots of naps and spend way too much time practicing my crochet ( I will show you my latest project next week)
The drive there and back was long and boring. Road trips are no fun when there is no one to talk to in the car! But I had a great time hanging with my family and was able to completely relax for four days and not spend every free moment working on something around the house.
I arrived back home to more dreary, wet weather today. I thought it was supposed to be summer? What is going on? Hopefully the sun will poke his face out this weekend.
Hope you all had a great week and cheers to another weekend coming up!
