Honey Mustard Ham Sauce Recipe
Are you planning to cook ham for Easter dinner this year? If you are, then you will definitely want to serve it with my honey mustard sauce.
Technically this isn’t my recipe. It comes from my grandma Audrey. Where did she get it from? Who knows, but she passed the recipe onto my mom (her daughter in law) and my mom makes this sauce for every family dinner that we eat ham.
This sauce is like putting icing on your ham, but in a good way. If you’re the kind of person who likes putting cranberry sauce on your turkey then you will love this mustard sauce.
- 1teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 cup white vinegar
- 5 teaspoons Dijon mustard (Try Keens mustard powder, yellow can in spice aisle)
Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a heavy bottom saucepan – cook over medium heat until thick.
What are you serving for Easter this year? Do you have any special family recipes you want to share? Let me know in the comments!
