How I Use my Smartphone for my Small Business
It’s that time of the year again….that time we’ve all been waiting for since Christmas. Tax season! Let’s face it doing your taxes can be a pain. But the silver lining is always getting a refund check in the mail.
How are you planning to spend your tax refund this year? Of course, I’ve already got some ideas how I am going to spend my refund planned out. I just need to go ahead and get my paperwork together and start my taxes.
I’ve been running two internet bases businesses for years now. My blog and my Crafty Little Gnome jewelry line. As long as I’m diligent throughout the year, keeping track of my income and expenses, tax season isn’t too terrible.
Did you know you can get your taxes done at Walmart? I’ve done it in the past and know some friends who get theirs done there every year and the process is quick and painless.
I’ve got a few things on my wish list that I’d like to buy with my tax refund this year. My refrigerator has been on fritz for months, so that will be a major expense. I also want to spend some of my refund to grow my business.
The thing I love most about running two web-based businesses is that I can work from anywhere with a WIFI connection or that I have access to the data on my phone.
I rely so much on social media for my business, I feel like I am constantly on Facebook or tweeting and pinning my latest jewelry pieces and links to my blog posts.
The internet connection at my house isn’t very good. The signal strength is weak and we have regular outages. I actually didn’t have internet in my home for the entire month of February due to an outage!
Luckily my smartphone came to the rescue. The data on my phone was the only thing that allowed me to stay connected and keep in touch with my blog readers and jewelry customers.
Right now the Samsung Galaxy On5 is available with the Walmart Family Mobile PLUS Plan. You get Unlimited Talk, Text & Data, 10GB of 4G LTE then 2G, plus a free VUDU movie credit every month $7 value, (which is the same as a new release rental) per line for 49.88
The Samsung Galaxy On5 is $119.00 Regular Price. And the SIM kit is 19.88.
Since Family Mobile bills you later, you only have to pay $19.88 when you sign up. It’s an economical way to spend your tax refund.
With all that data I don’t even need a reliable internet connection in my home. I can tweet till my heart’s content without worrying about overage charges.
The free VUDU movie credit is awesome for my family too. We try to get together and watch movies whenever we can. I love that I can stream movies from my phone to our TV with Chromecast®.
How are you planning to spend your tax refund this year? Tell me about it in the comments and make sure you check out the Samsung On5 and the Walmart Family Plan on your next trip to Walmart.
