Book Review: Banana Beauty 7 Days to Better Skin and Hair

Bananas have always been one of my favorite fruits. They are a healthy low calorie treat and they are convenient to take with you anywhere for an easy snack with a boost of potassium and loads of other vitamins and minerals.

I was so pleased when one of my favorite bloggers Sonya Kanelstrand told me about a new book she wrote called Banana Beauty 7 Days to Better Skin and Hair and I was even more thrilled when she asked me to review it!

Sonya's book features 7 all natural recipes for your skin and hair using- you guessed it- bananas! Did you know that you can make your own all natural face masks, body scrubs, acne treatments and more with bananas?  You can even treat warts with bananas!

Banana Beauty has lots of information about various skin conditions such as dry skin and hair loss, why they happen and how the recipes in the book are effective treatments.
One of the main things I liked about this book is  that you can whip of the recipes from ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. The ingredients are all natural. No weird chemicals, no preservatives. You know exactly what is going into your homemade products. The great thing about making your own skin care and hair products is that it is very inexpensive! You can make these recipes for just pennies!

One of my favorite recipes from the book is the banana conditioner. I have very fine hair that is prone to damage and breaking. The mask left my hair looking healthy and smelling great. I will definitely be using that recipe again as well as all the others from the book.
Banana Beauty is a 33 page pdf book available on her website here. Go learn more about the book and get your copy now! I promise you will never look at a banana the same way!
