Unidentified Flowering Objects

The people who lived in our house before us planted a bush in the front yard. It didn't really start to bloom until this year. All these pretty white flowers have been blossoming.

They aren't quite hydrangea, in fact I have no idea what they are! I have seen a few of these bushes in other peoples yards on my drive into work. They seem to get quite large.

Any idea what these unidentified flowering objects are??

  2. I think they are hydrangea- or atleast they look very much like hydrangea. There are a ton of differen't hydrangea varieties so maybe it's just a variety you're not used to. :)

  4. My mom called this a snowball bush and the leaves are identical to my hydrangea. The type of soil determines the color. A little lime would probably turn it pink or blue next year.
